Uncover the challenges faced by Trillium, where spam emails and unrelated calls hindered their online presence. As a UI designer, my task was to revamp the website. Starting with user interviews and competitor analysis, the focus was on Dylan's goal for the site and catering to the user base of homeowners and property managers, aged 30-60. The result is a minimal, straightforward, and modern website that conveys information effectively while emphasizing Trillium's professionalism and trustworthiness. Explore how this redesign enhances the user experience and tackles the specific needs of a limited technical user base.
An overhaul was needed that would transform the website from looking like a simple word document to a minimal, modern, and clean website. A problem they were having was that they would receive too many spam emails and calls that had no relation to the company.
Starting off with interviewing Dylan (Owner) of Trillium and writing down what the goal of the website is, any data he has on his user base, and what does he want to convey to the users. I later continued to analyze some of his competitors, what they display, how they approach their business, and highlighted some user reviews that would benefit the research.
The user base mainly consisted of homeowners and property managers. User age range was 30-60, so the website had to cater to a very limited technical ability. I opted for a minimal, straight forward, and modern looking website that simply displayed the information the user needed as well as highlight the professionalism and trustworthiness of Trillium.
Working with Dyland (Owner) on this project was very fun and I am extremely grateful that he trusted me with creative freedom as well answering my detailed questions to be able to solve his problem and bring Trillium Woodworks to life.
